Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's children - was born at Woodland Hills in 1956. Her mother was at home as a mother. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick began dancing and singing in her early years and often performed plays with puppets for the kids in her community. After winning her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see what she thought about getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick's first job as a professional was during 1964, where she was featured in a television commercial featuring Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial with the company's Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play Wind It up and It is Broken on stage at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from more than 1200 children to become the youngest of three twins in the TV series The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The show ran for five seasons and The Brady Bunch was an enormous successful one. In her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice published in 2008 McCormick admitted that in the shows fifth season she was close to losing her virginity due to her onscreen brother and co-star Barry Williams. In the moment, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. It would have happened she stated, but the time was never right for us.
